The NSW Government is planning to make changes to the law that will have far reaching implications for housing affordability and how people are able to use their own caravan.
These proposed changes will require anyone living in a caravan on private property in the state of NSW to obtain council approval if the size of the vehicle exceeds 20 square metres or if it is connected to electricity and water for more than six months.
Councils including the Bega Council are already forcing people to either move out of caravans or remove the caravans altogether.
